Malcolm Middleton is a Scottish guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with Scottish indie band Arab Strap. His solo career includes seven albums, starting with *5:14 Fluoxytine Seagull Alcohol John Nicotine* (2002) and ending with *Bananas* (2018). Blending introspective lyrics, indie rock and pop, his music explores themes of depression and human relationships with a darkly humorous edge.
